I dyed my hair to a lighter shade of brown.
But, do it makes me better in terms of appearance?
Nope!
My hair turned coarse *sigh
Gee, I don't understand why they keep dying,
as it doesn't make the hair beautiful, either *tongue-out

Sobbing

Feeling down lately,
hate this insanity,
it's because this one particular person,
so-called future soulmate! *sigh*
I know I shouldn't be anxious
but I know, sometimes, my intuition is perfectly right,
I have been through this enigma before
when my heart say it,
although thousand friends console me the other way
in the end what my heart had felt right away
is absolutely TRUE!
what am I going to do....?*sob*
but is he really cheating on me?
is it true he has somebody there?
is the distance to blame?
or the attitude?
or the other woman?

how could he ignore me without a line like this?
how does he go through the whole day/weekdays/weekends without me?
God, is it really true?
Really, really true?
Really, really, really is true???

4 Things You Never Knew Your Mobile Phone Could Do

Found this in another site:

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

1. Emergency

The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.

Also in Australia , the Australian emergency number 000 can be dialled whilst your mobile phone keyboard is locked. This is another reason why 000 receives so many false emergency calls!

2. Have you locked your keys in the car?

Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

Editors Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!"

3. Hidden Battery Power

Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.

4. How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone!:

star-hash-zero-six-hash

* # 0 6 #

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

Not only the above, but also in Australia your stolen phone is added to a "Stolen Mobile Phone" database, so if your phone is found later on it can be returned to you.

Mount Kinabalu - The Real Meaning

Don't ever believe that the word Kinabalu derived from the word "Kina-Chinese" and balu-widow"!

Kinabalu is originally from the term of Aki Nabalu: the Keeper of gate to heaven for the Dusun (as most Ranau area inhabitants are of Dusunic tribe, not Kadazan). Aki means old man (sacred icon), in Dusun community the elders are always respectable; old man is mostly chosen as the keeper instead of old woman because old female had the role as bobolian (priestess) to the equal the importance of both gender. Probably this Aki of Nabalu is in second line after the family of Kinorohingan. Besides, if the so-called Chinese lady wanted to climb Kinabalu back then, she already dead halfway to the summit due to the environment condition. And really idiot; even if she did reached the summit what else could she saw except for the white cloud surrounding the summit? Even if she stayed there waiting for a fine day for a clear view of the South China Sea, she would had already frozen beforehand. The first self-claimed historian who started this nonsense must had never climbed the mountain at the first place!

They are really changing the tradition and heritage of Dusun - damn you all the writers who claim intelligent but dare to lie in this important fact!

What Every Sabahan Should Knows

Found it on Friendster bulletin but clueless of who first wrote it though (thanks a bundle):

Have you ever heard people ask us Sabahans, whether we still live on the jungle, hunt for food and wear clothing made out of leaves?

If I was asked so, I would proudly say yes....!
(Imagine Marsha AF3 wearing nipah leaves skirt with coconut bra! LOL)

When you as a Sabahan start to feel low just because you're from Sabah, these facts would make you change your mind:

*We have the second largest International airport in Malaysia. While others might not even have any.

*We have FIVE major airports, while others might not have one

*Car fuel is the cheapest here.

*We have two official cities, KK and Sandakan and soon Tawau, while others might only have a town.

*We are still the reason why tourist comes to Malaysia, for our Mount Kinabalu.

*Two out of the top three of the sexiest girl in Malaysia are from Sabah (Daphne Iking
and Amber Chia) according to FHM.

*Sipadan Island, need I explain?

*Everybody says Mokhtar Dahari is the main reason Malaysian football team qualified
for the Olympics, football event in the 80s. With all due respect, the two goals are scored by Hassan Sani and James Wong, both Sabahan. Not forgetting the man who kept Malaysia at bay, Peter Rajah, also a Sabahan as the goalie.

*The most air travelers are from Sabah. Almost all Sabahan have at least traveled once or twice with airplane, compared to the West Malaysians.

*We have our own daily newspaper, Daily Express, Borneo Post and New Sabah Times.

*Everytime there's a reality show, our contestant always reaches respectful level. AF,
Blast-Off etc.

*We live in harmony, not just with Malay, Indian and Chinese, but also with KadazanDusun, Bajau, Murut, Rungus etc. The term Sabah, Truly Asia is more like it.

*First 'Survivor' series was held in Pulau Tiga, Sabah.

*Most of us Sabahans speaks at least 4 different languages.

*1-Borneo will be the largest Mall outside Klang Valley

*An internationally renown artist, CheNelle is also Sabahan (Putatan girl, man!!) It's ok if she fell in love with the DJ, we'd forgive her!

*Dun forget, Gary Cao ge - Singer of Chinese version Superwoman also from Sabah.

This is just to name a few, but despite all this, we are still proud to be Sabahan!!!!!

If you could look inside my heart,
then you would know,
your love has played the greatest part
If you could see inside my mind,
then you would know,
I think about you all the time

No need to question
You will have my affection

For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer,
I promise - I do
In sickness and in health, from now until forever,
I'll always love you, and so with,
all of my heart,
till death do us part
I do

If you could walk inside my shoes,
Then you would know - know how much,
I'm in to you
If you could feel what I can feel,
then you would know,
I'm falling hard for your appeal

No need to question
You will have my affection

For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer,
I promise - I do
In sickness and in health, from now until forever,
I'll always love you, and so with,
all of my heart,
till death do us part
I do

To have and to hold,
through young and through old,
in good or in bad times baby
Yes I do, I do, I do
So...

For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer,
I promise - I do
In sickness and in health, from now until forever,
I'll always love you, and so with,
all of my heart,
till death do us part

I do

For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer,
I promise - I do
In sickness and in health, from now until forever,
I'll always love you, and so with,
all of my heart,
till death do us part
I do

I promise, I'll always
I promise I'll always love you

Take-5 & Have A Banana Smile

Election jokes: Enjoy some humour

(1) Barisan has announced that its new national symbol is the Condom, because it accurately reflects the government stance. A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks and gives us a sense of security while we're actually being screwed!

(2) Pak Lah and Samy Vellu were in a helicopter looking down Kuala Lumpur. Pak Lah said, "Samy, if I throw two RM100 notes down, two people will be happy."

Not wanting to be outdone, Samy said, "If I throw 200 RM1 notes, 200 people will be happy."

The pilot heard the conversation and said, "If I throw the two of you down, 27 million Malaysians will be happy."

(3) Three guys were arguing as to what race Adam and Eve were. The Malay guy said they must be Malay as they are so good looking. The Chinese guy said that they must be Chinese as they are so calm even with a snake.

The Indian guy said that they must be Malaysian-Indian as they have no shelter, no clothes, no money, share one apple, advised by a snake who told them that they are living in paradise!

(4) Pak Lah, Najib, Shahrizat and Anwar were sitting in a KTM train heading up to Penang for campaigning. Near Ipoh, the train goes through a tunnel and it gets completely dark.

Suddenly there is a kissing sound and then a slap!

The train comes out of the tunnel. Shahrizat and Pak Lah are sitting there looking perplexed.

Najib is bent over holding his face, which is red from an apparent slap.

All of them remain diplomatic and nobody says anything.

Pak Lah is thinking: "These guys are all crazy after Shahrizat. Najib must have tried to kiss her in the tunnel. Very proper that she slapped him."

Shahrizat is thinking: "Najib must have moved to kiss me, but kissed Pak Lah instead and got slapped."

Najib is thinking: "Damn it, Pak Lah must have tried to kiss Shahrizat, she thought it was me and slapped me instead."

Anwar is thinking: "If this train goes through another tunnel, I could make another kissing sound and slap Najib again."

(5) Barisan wins the election. To celebrate, they decide to send more angkasawan to space. Najib calls together a group of Umnoputra cosmonauts.

Saudara saudara sekalian, we successfully sent our man Muzaffar to space using tax payers' money the last time. Since we have more than enough tax payers' money, the Cabinet has decided that you will all now fly to the sun.

But Datuk, we will be burnt to crisp.

Jangan takut, the Barisan government has thought of everything ... you will fly at night!

(6) Today's election brings to mind the old Northern Ireland election slogan - "VOTE EARLY AND VOTE OFTEN"

(7) A priest is dying in a church. Before he dies, he asked for Pak La La La Lah and Khai Ri Ri Riry to be beside his deathbed. Both of them were excited at this opportunity because they thought it would be good for their image with the elections right around the corner.

At the priest's deathbed, they asked, "Father, why did you ask us to be with you on your deathbed?"

The priest replied, "Because I wanted to die like Jesus Christ. He died between two thieves, and I wanted to do the same."

Non-Muslim Bumis Is Endangered?!

9th March, 2008
Source: http://newsabahtimes.com.my/nstweb/fullstory/16626

KOTA KINABALU: The Barisan Nasional coalition easily retained its two-thirds majority in Sabah in yesterday’s general election.

Speaking to reporters at his official residence Sri Gaya here late last night, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman expressed his gratitude to the people of Sabah for returning BN to power, and attributed BN’s big win to the people’s desire to see continued development under a BN government.

“We are the first state in the country to win a two-thirds majority in the state seats.

“The majority of the people in Sabah chose BN parties based on their confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi,” said a jubilant Musa.

Musa said the BN government will continue to work hard to bring development to the state.

Asked when he would take his oath as the next Chief Minister, Musa said he would discuss the matter with the Prime Minister and Head of State Tun Haji Ahmadshah Abdullah first.

On BN’s success in wresting back the Kuala Penyu state seat from independent candidate Datuk John Ghani, he said it shows the people of Sabah realise that only the BN government can bring development that will benefit them.

While in the peninsula the opposition made big gains and BN’s two-thirds majority looked under threat, in Sabah the state BN under Musa’s leadership repeated the good showing it showed in the 2004 election. In yesterday’s polls, it again secured 59 out of the 60 state seats and 24 out of the 25 parliamentary seats up for grabs.

BN only lost the Sri Tanjong state and Kota Kinabalu parliamentary seats.

In Kota Kinabalu, DAP’s Hiew King Cheu garnered 9,464 votes to win with a slim 106-vote majority. His rivals were PKR’s Christina Liew, who polled 9,358 votes, PBS’ Chin Tek Ming (8,420 votes) and Independent candidate Kong Yu Kiong (341 votes).

Significantly, BN wrested back the Sandakan parliamentary seat won by Independent candidate Chong Hon Min in 2004. This time around, Datuk VK Liew (LDP) polled 8297 votes to pip DAP’s Chong Chui Lin (8121 votes) and Independent Fong Vun Fui (2929 votes).

Musa, the Sabah Umno chairman, easily retained his Sungai Sibuga state seat, polling 10,570 votes to win his four-cornered fight with a comfortable majority of 7,657 votes.

His nearest rival, PKR’s Ahmad Thamrin Hj Jaini, garnered 2,913 votes, while Osman Bin Enting (Bersekutu) and Gusniah Bin Diong (Independent) managed only 291 and 295 votes respectively.

Voter turnout was 67.41% out of a total of 21,442 registered voters, comprising 74% Muslim Bumiputeras, 3.1% non-Muslim Bumiputeras, 22.5% Chinese and 0.3% others.

In the last general election, Musa won with a 6,670-vote majority out of a voter turnout of 11,351.

In the Libaran parliamentary seat, incumbent Datuk Juslie Ajirol also easily won, albeit with a reduced majority of 7,529 votes compared to 10,669 in the 2004 election. His sole challenger, PKR’s Ahmad Thamrin Hj Zaini, obtained 6,139 votes. Voter turnout was 65.33%.

Incumbent Semporna MP Datuk Mohd Shafie Apdal also won easily, garnering 19,419 votes for a bigger majority of 17,462 compared to 13,319 in 2004.

Earlier after nomination, Datuk Abdul Ghapur Salleh (Kalabakan), Tan Sri Joseph Kurup (Pensiangan), Ramlee Marhaban (Bugaya) and Datuk Zakaria Edris (Gum-Gum) had won uncontested.

In Liawan, incumbent assemblyman Datuk Sairin Karno polled 4,638 votes. His nearest challenger, Jius Awang of PKR, obtained 2,614 votes.

All the other BN component party heads also won in parliamentary seats: Datuk Joseph Pairin Kitingan (PBS), Tan Sri Bernard Dompok (Upko), Tan Sri Joseh Kurup (PBRS) and Datuk VK Liew (LDP) in Keningau, Penampang, Pensiangan and Sandakan.

Pairin also secured victory over his Tambunan state seat with a 2781-vote majority, while Dompok obtained 13,400 votes for a majority of 3,063 votes. His closest rival, Dr Edwin Bosi of PKR, garnered 10,337 votes.

In the Keningau parliamentary seat, Pairin obtained 14,598 votes to see off his two rivals, PKR’s Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan (10,334 votes) and DAP’s Peter Kodou (560 votes).

SAPP deputy president Raymond Tan Shu Kiah also won in Tanjong Papat, while Sabah MCA chairman Datuk Edward Khoo polled 6,162 votes to triumph in Kapayan with a majority of 2,062 votes.

SAPP president Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee expressed his gratitude to the people of Sabah for their support to enable the party to retain all the six seats it contested through Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah (Tanjong Papat), Melanie Chia (Luyang), Datuk Liew Teck Chan (Likas), Datuk Eric Majimbun (Sepangar), Datuk Chua Soon Bui (Tawau) and Au Kam Wah (Elopura).

“We will continue to work hard for the people,” he told reporters while watching the live telecast of the election results together with SAPP leaders at the party’s headquarters at Bornion Centre in Luyang here last night.

SAPP will need to analyse the implications of the national results, he added.

Afternoon Naps

Many work cultures would normally frown upon an afternoon nap, as it is viewed as laziness. But in countries such as Spain and Argentina, afternoon naps or siestas are a cultural norm.

Researchers have been studying the effect of the practice and found that humans are naturally programmed for naps. Studies show that both alertness and drowsiness will decrease, respectively, after 8-hours of waking.

A study performed in Greece shows that people who nap regularly have a 37% reduced chance of suffering heart attacks, compared to those who don't. Researchers believe it is due to the drop in blood pressure and heart rate, that allow the body to reduce stress and make repairs.

But every person has a different nap time. Some require only 10 to 20 minutes, while others may need a full hour to receive the same benefit. So the next time you are caught taking a nap after lunch, tell them the doctor advised it.

I know what's weighing on your mind
You can be sure I know my part
Cause I stand beside you through the years
You'll only cry those happy tears
And though I make mistakes
I'll never break your heart

And I swear by the moon
And the stars in the sky I'll be there
I swear like the shadow that's by your side I'll be there
For better or worse
Till death do us part
I'll love you with every beat of my heart
And I swear

I'll give you every thing I can
I'll build your dreams with these two hands
We'll hang some memories on the wall
And when (and when) just the two of us are there
You won't have to ask if I still care
Cause as the time turns the page
My love won't age at all

And I swear (I swear) by the moon
And the stars in the sky I'll be there (I'll be there)
I swear (and I swear) like the shadow that's by your side
I'll be there (I'll be there)

For better or worse
Till death do us part
I'll love you with every beat of my heart
And I swear

And I swear (I swear) by the moon
And the stars in the sky I'll be there (I'll be there)
I swear (and I swear) like the shadow that's by your side
I'll be there (I'll be there)

For better or worse (better or worse)
Till death do us part I'll love you

A Politician VERSUS Hell or Heaven

While walking down the street one day a Malaysian Boleh minister is tragically hit by a truck and dies.

His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," says the man.

"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."

"Really, I have made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the Yang Berhormat

"I'm sorry, but we have our rules," says St. Peter.

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and dressed in the finest batik there is. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people. They play a friendly game of golf and then indulge themselves on lobsters, caviar and the most expensive food there is.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises.

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.

"Now it' s time to visit heaven."

So, 24 hours passed by with the Yang Berhormat joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

"Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity."

The Yang Berhormat reflects for a minute, then he answers: "Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I am better off in hell."

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage.

He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder.

"I don't understand," stammers the Yang Berhormat. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?"

The devil looks at him, smiles and says, "Yesterday we were campaigning just like you during an election......Today you voted."
