Hayao Miyazaki

Dated ..... - Evacuated and edited from Come What May

I'm a fan of Hayao Miyazaki since I first bought Spirited Away. I'm taken away by his marvellous animation & stories since that. I paint my fantasies in dreams but Hayao paint them in films. I have keep most of his great animation so it came to me eventually that there are similarities & continuity in each of his story. But what i found most is that he prone to girl character, between the age of 10-12. I wonder if any of this coincidence do related to his personal life. Perhaps they represent of his first love memories during childhood. Or the daughters he never had. Even in most of the girls' faces are all looks the same to me.

These are the similarities occurs:
-opening theme of nausicaa & laputa
-faces of the girls (nausicaa vs laputa vs totoro vs kiki)
-faces of the boys (nausicaa vs laputa vs my neighbour totoro)
-faces of the old women (my neighbour totoro vs spirited away vs nausicaa)
-the creature cat-squirrel (laputa vs nausicaa)
-the in-the-cloud scenes (nausicaa vs laputa)
-the fat cat (the cat returns vs )

Why do I like his artworks? It's becuz we share the same interests:
His passion of the English lifestyle/fashion/architecture/culture
Prairie landscape, w flowers everywhere
Water landmarks: Stream, brook, fountain (I luvvvvv....waterrrrr!)
Secret garden feature (& he did it beautifully...amazing..!)
Nature especially the forest & countryside views
He's an animal lover, he nv 4get to feature 1 in any of his film
